Meet and mingle with some of CAL’s most recently published book authors, at our show-and-sale of recent CAL titles, Thursday, Nov. 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Denver Women’s Press Club, 1325 Logan St. Wine and snacks will be served.

Meet and greet with author Claudia Cangilla McAdam and photographer John Fielder; book signing for their new children's book, A, B, See Colorado: An Alphabet Book of the Centennial State; drawing for free autographed copies; complimentary refreshments as you tour the gallery.

Speak Peace is a collaborative, international project between Kent State’s Wick Poetry Center and School of Art Galleries, and Soldiers’ Heart, a veterans’ return and healing organization,  Speak Peace: American Voices Respond to Vietnamese Children’s Paintings features original poems written by American children, veterans, and established poets in response to Vietnamese children’s paintings on peace and war collected over the last 10 years by the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.  Speakers from Kent State and Dramatic Reading of poems by exhibit poets and ACC Creative Writing faculty.

Winners and finalists of the Speak Peace: Colorado Responds Poetry and Art contest will be honored at this event. Poets will read from their selected work. Artists will exhibit their work. At the Arapahoe Community College Colorado Gallery of the Arts.
